About the Tour

The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7cascades, is an adventurous hike in the heart of the island. It’s a total immersion in our tropical forest, where we will discover five of seven waterfalls of Tamarind one after the other.

Located in the centre of Mauritius, the hike offers a great discovery of the diverse nature of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. The hike lasts more or less 3 hours.

The full-day tour at Tamarind Falls is for the more adventurous ones! Some steeper and very remote section of the hike will require better physical condition, but we can assure that the it is worth it. During this tour, we will discover all the waterfalls of this beautiful gorge.

What you’ll do

There’s no better place to try paragliding than from Coronet peak, the highest of all the flying sites in Queenstown. This take-off gives thrill-seekers the opportunity to experience more spins and turns in the air, but a gentle flight is also possible from this spot. This friendly and highly qualified team is led by Angus Tapper, a 4-time New Zealand Paragliding Champion and runner-up in the 2010 National Hang Gliding championships.

He has over 30 years of aviation experience. After a short drive up to the ski field, you’ll be teamed up with your highly experienced pilot. He’ll do a safety briefing with you followed by a short practice. Soon, you and your pilot will be flying away.

Once up in the air, you’ll have amazing views of the whole Wakatipu area.

There’s nothing better than seeing the spectacular Queenstown region from the air. Once you’re done, a courtesy van will pick you up from the purpose-built landing site, which has a café that offers hot food and drinks.
